Classic Board Games Online With Friends
In Uno, the goal is to be the first player to play all your cards. The first player to play all the cards in their hand wins the round, and scores points. The first player to 500 points wins.
Uno is multiplayer, and works for between 2 to 6 players. To get started, enter a name for yourself (ex: 'uno-player-100') and a room name. The room name can be anything you like (ex: 'joan's room'). If you're playing with others, they can join your game by using the exact same room name.
Once you select Start Game, you'll see the cards you have in your hand. Be sure all other players have joined before you start the game! They will not be able to join after you start the game.
In the center, you'll see the discard pile. Typically speaking, each turn, you can play a card that has either the same color or the same number as the top card on the discard pile. Some cards of a given color also have special effects:
- The skip card (⦻) skips the very next player
- The reverse card (↷) reverses the order of play
- The draw two card (+2) makes the next player draw two cards
If you don't have any cards that can be played, you must draw a card, by selecting the Draw card button that will appear in those situations. The exception to this are the wild cards, which be played no matter the current color. A usual wild card is shown with a W and can be played at any time. When you play it, you'll be able to chose the color for the next player. In addition, there are draw four wild cars, shown with a +4 - this powerful card lets you choose the suit and also forces the next player to pick up four cards.
A round is over when the first player plays all their cards. In this case, the player who plays all their cards gets points for all the cards that are still in their opponents' hands, as follows:
- For each numbered card (0-9), get that many points
- For each draw two, reverse or skip card, get 20 points
- For each wild or wild draw four card, get 50 points
The first player to 500 points wins!
